Live by the 3 šŸ‘ŒšŸ¾ We lost the chip, but we learned something real. Analytics say shoot the three… but what are the odds you stay hot for five straight games? We were on fire early, but Game 5 humbled us. This ain’t just numbers—it’s defense, fatigue, confidence, and preparation. The numbers don’t tell the whole story. Ask the Celtics. šŸ“‰šŸ”„šŸ€

Everybody wants to talk analytics. Percentages. "We shoot threes because the numbers say it's the best shot." Okay cool, but what are the percentages that you’ll actually shoot that good every game as a team? Lol. Y’all wanna play the numbers game? Then let’s really look at those numbers.

We just lost the championship in our league. First three games, we was on fire, four of us shot the leather off the ball. Couldn’t miss. Then came Game 5… and none of us could hit nothing. I mean, bricks. So out of five games, what does analytics really say about our chances of shooting great five straight times?

I’ll tell you what it says: it doesn’t matter. Numbers can’t predict what happens in that fifth game. What does matter? Defense, confidence, fatigue, and where your head is at.

Let me break it down. Three of us hadn’t hooped in a year. So five games in three days? Physical, high-level runs against former pros? That’s where conditioning shows up. That’s where you find out who’s in shape and who’s just trying to be.

Second, confidence is everything, and that starts with preparation. When you’ve been putting in work, getting reps, staying sharp, your confidence is different. But when you haven’t? Fatigue creeps in, little injuries add up, and your mind starts doubting your body.

And then there’s defense. A team that’s locked in, with a real scheme, that takes away your strengths? That changes everything. You can’t shoot the same shots when someone’s forcing you into your weaknesses.

All that to say: yeah, the Celtics shoot a lot of threes. And yeah, when they get hot, they’re dangerous. But don’t let the analytics fool you, hot streaks don’t guarantee wins. Tatum dropped 40, had his best game of the series… and they still lost. They’re down 3-1. If the plan is to just rely on analytics to win three straight? Good luck. Because at this point, heart, health, defense, and mindset will beat any number a stat sheet spits out.
